THREE QUILTER'S

This month's Artisan Spotlight is a little different for two reasons.

First of all, instead of one artisan, I am featuring three - Fabricsnquilts, Pamelaquilts, and warmnfuzzies, all quilters from Etsy.  For the past few months, I have been priviledged to serve as co-leader of the Quiltsy team with these three talented women.

Secondly, instead of contacting the artisans prior to their being featured on my site, this month's spotlight will be a complete surprise to these three wonderful ladies.  I wanted to honor them for their unselfish service to the team, as well as for their wonderful artistry in quilting.

Pamelaquilts

Fabricsnquilts
Fabricsnquilts and her husband own an antique shop in a small town in Tennessee.  One corner of the shop is devoted to Fabricsnquilt's fabric store.  She sells fabric on ebay as well as on etsy, and participates in quilt shows and an amazing 100 mile flea market sale yearly.

From her Etsy Profile:
I am an avid quilter & love to use quality fabrics in my projects. My passion is scrappy and crazy quilts, but I love the traditional patterned block quilts too. Quilted purses with exposed seams (ragged edge) are a specialty of mine.

You can reach her at her ebay store by clicking on this link:

and her Etsy shop by clicking here.

I enjoy her daily quotes such as:

First, say to yourself what you would be, and then do what you have to do. Epictetus

Here are a few more items from her shop:

Pamelaquilts
In addition to making beautiful quilts, Pamela designs patterns, works for a local quilt store, and she and her husband own a race horse.

From her Etsy Profile:

I'm an avid quilter and seamstress who finds great enjoyment in the creative process. Many of my works have won local awards, and I take pride in doing quality work. One of my favorite things to work on is miniatures, and I got a special award at my county fair this year for one of them!

My workroom is full of completed projects, and in order to make room for more ideas and more material I need to sell some of them. They are all top quality quilts and accessories handmade by me alone in my smoke free studio. Some of them have been made as samples to hang in the local quilt shop I work at, some of them are original ideas. And now some of them are possible patterns that I am producing!

You can purchase Pamela's quilts and patterns from her
etsy shop.

Here are a few more of her works:

warmnfuzzies
Warmnfuzzies is known in our quiltsy group by her beautiful cathedral window pillow covers.  But she has many other lovely quilting skills as well.  She is the front door to our quiltsy group - warm is the one who informs and greets each newcomer who applies to the quiltsy team.

From her Etsy Profile:
I love to create items with fabric. My passion is quilting. I have been sewing off and on for 34 years. I have been quilting passionately for 14 years. I cannot sit without having something in my lap to keep my fingers busy. I learned how to sew, crochet, knit, bake and craft at an early age, when I was a member of our local 4-H group and I am so appreciative for that opportunity. I am a stay-at-home mom of two boys and I stay sane by working in my sewing studio.

See more of her work in her etsy shop.

FINAL COMMENTS:
One thing for sure about these three is that there isn't a lazy one in the bunch!  They are an inspiration to me by their examples of hard work, quality items, and innovative ideas.

Hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into the world of Quiltsy.
