Winning Features

In the last month, I have won two fabulous prizes,
and had items featured in two blogs, so exciting!

My first win was a "Gator Pond" fabric panel from Amy Schimler a wonderfully whimsical designer who counts among her many clients such names as Robert Kaufman fabrics, Target, American Greetings, Fisher Price, and Fruit of the Loom.

I was chosen randomly as one of two winners of a contest she offered on her blog in June.

Amy's fabrics and prints can be purchased in her Etsy Shop.

Stained Glass Portrait by Nonnie60
One of my baby scripture quilts was featured in this very interesting article called "Where Did That Saying Come From" by Nonnie from the Bbest Team on Etsy.

For example, did you know that "it's raining cats and dogs" came from the 1500's, when during heavy rains, animals who lived in the slippery thatched roofs would  slide off ?

Nonnie does beautiful stained glass work which you can buy from her Etsy Shop.

Custom Monogram Mini Quilt
Lovebug Studio  had a newspaper launch party giveaway to celebrate her new job as a writer for Artfire.  I signed up as a follower of her blog and suggested some topics for future articles.  Again, I won by random drawing.  My prize is a mini monogram quilt, such as pictured at left.  Of course mine will be with a "K."

You can see her work at HandmadeNews.org, and purchase from her Etsy shop.

My Marie Bag was featured in the Etsy Lounge blog by a self proclaimed addict and admirer of the handmade talent and brilliant ethic of Etsy, ArtsyPicks.  She maintains and showcases handmade artists in permanent treasuries on her blog.

She also has two shops on Etsy where she sells fibers, jewelry, and accessories, Katsara Yarns , and Piacere.

I am very thankful to these generous artists,

and hope you will stop by their blogs and shops
to see more of their wonderful work.
